DR. GEOFF HEDDLE, O.D.
With over 10 years of optometry experience, Dr. Geoff Heddle has been providing for the needs of children of all ages as a developmental optometrist and vision therapist. Our team prides itself on fully addressing the needs of each and every one of our patients by providing professional, informed care and thorough attention by all of our staff.
An alumnus of the Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Heddle’s experience in vision therapy and developmental optometry spans multiple organizations and regions, including tenures with the NHL Toronto Maple Leafs as a sports vision consultant and with the NBA New York Knicks as a member of their medical team. However, Dr. Heddle’s experience isn’t limited to just sports teams, having also helped out with police forces and Head Start programs.
Dr. Heddle is an associate of the College of Optometrists in Visual Development (COVD) as well as a member of the following professional organizations:
• The Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA)
• The College of Syntonics (CSO)
• The Optometric Extension Program Foundation
Additionally, Dr. Heddle has served as a lecturer on sports vision development and as an editor for the Journal of Behavioral Optometric Association Foundation (BOAF).
In today’s day and age, it seems to increasingly be the norm that doctors of all sorts, including optometrists, have an appointment book that is so full that it makes for a hectic schedule each and every day. The result is brisk, impersonal care that leaves patients and parents of patients unsatisfied with the answers they were given. Too often, the doctor’s response is to have a prescription filled, and to have the patient follow up with them if they need anything else.
Dr. Geoff Heddle believes in a different approach to optometry which puts the patient’s needs and their time first. We work hard to not overbook ourselves so as to provide plenty of time for us to connect with our patients and truly gain insight into their worries. We believe this allows us to provide better diagnoses and better results.
If you have a child who is suffering from a vision disorder, or suspect that your child or even yourself may have a vision problem, contact Dr. Heddle today to schedule a comprehensive vision evaluation.
